The Cougar Education Fund (CEF), an affiliate of the San Ramon Valley Education Foundation (SRVEF), is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds to maintain and enhance the academic excellence at John Baldwin Elementary School. Founded in 1999, the CEF has been dedicated to generating money through tax deductible contributions, fundraising events and corporate matching gifts to pay the salaries of personnel that our families and staff deem important to the education of our children, but which our School District does not include. The group operates through collaboration of parents, educators, and the community at large.
Our goal each year is to raise over a quarter of a million dollars (or almost $500 per student) to pay for salaried positions considered valuable by the John Baldwin community but not paid for by the school district. Funds are raised through the following activities:
- Parent Contributions
- Employer matching donations
- Bid for Kids, our annual Auction and Dinner
- eScrip
- Lucky Shares Program
- Target's Take Charge of Education Program
- School Pop
